Vacation protection? We’ve got you covered!
Need a break? A vacation could be just the pick-me-up you’re looking for, and Community First is offering to members, through Cover-More, the benefit of travel cover.
There’s nothing quite like a holiday to shrug off the winter blues.
No matter whether you’re thinking of a trip to the other side of Australia – or the other side of the world – a vacation is one of life’s great pleasures.
The catch is that travel doesn’t come cheap.
No matter whether you’re heading overseas or exploring Australia, the cost of airfares, accommodation and sightseeing can quickly add up.
And no matter how hard you save for the cost, if something goes wrong, you could be left significantly out of pocket.
Lost luggage, falling ill or being injured on vacation are just some of the issues that can beset travellers.
To help protect you, it is so important to consider having travel insurance in place
One in six don’t have travel cover¹
Enjoy added peace of mind knowing that you may be protected financially.
The Insurance Council of Australia says one in six Aussies were not covered by any travel insurance at all on their last overseas trip, a figure that rises to three out of five travellers aged under 30.¹
As the Smartraveller website notes, “Travel doesn't always go to plan...Get insurance regardless of who you are, where you're going and what you're doing.”²
For eligible claims travel insurance can help cover thinks likemedical treatment in another country which can be prohibitively expensive.
While most travellers won’t experience any misadventure, there are no guarantees things won’t go wrong.
Having travel insurance in place can help you enjoy your vacation knowing you may be covered financially if your trip doesn’t go according to plan.
Community First is offering to our members, through Cover-More, the benefit of travel insurance
At Community First we believe in giving our members access to a range of products and services.
That’s why we are providing our members with travel insurance through Cover-More.
Choose from cover for your domestic holiday within Australia, or something a little more exotic if you’re heading overseas.
When to take out cover
It’s a good idea to take out travel cover as soon as you have booked a trip.
Many Australians book a trip in advance, and a lot can go wrong between making a reservation or booking flights, and heading away on vacation.
Organising travel cover early also gives you more time to understand your policy, ask any questions and adjust cover if necessary to help you get protected.
