A kids guide to using the internet securely

Cat memes, fail videos, face filters - the internet can be great, but not all users are there for the right reasons.

The internet can be fun and entertaining, but unfortunately you can also be up against users who are only there to cause trouble and steal from others. They're called cybercriminals.

Introducing the cyber security instruction manual...

In a shout out to our junior members, parents, guardians and anyone wanting to educate children on using the internet securely, we're sharing with you a cyber security manual filled with handy hints you can use to step up your cyber security knowledge and protect yourself online.

The manual has been developed by the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC). They provide advice, assistance and operational responses to prevent, detect and remediate cyber threats to Australia. They're here to help make Australia the most secure place to connect online.

For more cyber security information, guides and advice visit cyber.gov.au.
